Freedom From Choice, Lithograph & Silkscreen
The Supremes are baaack in the news again, still trying to dismantle Roe V Wade, the law giving women the right to choose. This limited edition lithograph & silkscreen was created for Planned Parenthood of Southern California in 1992, to protest the Supreme Court's upholding of "Rust vs. Sullivan"–aka the "gag rule"–which prohibited doctors in federally-funded family planning clinics from mentioning the word "abortion" to their patients. It was printed by Angeles Press, Los Angeles. There are a few dozen prints remaining from the original edition of 200.
